Privacy Policy

Who we are

FloorManager is a production floor management platform for small manufacturers, operated by the FloorManager team. When we say "FloorManager", "we", "us", or "our", we mean the operator of this service. Questions? Email support@floormanager.app.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — company name, billing email address, and the plan you select at signup.
  • Work data you enter — work orders, parts, customers, materials, operators, time logs, and comments you create inside your workspace. This data belongs to you.
  • Billing information — handled directly by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status; we never see or store your card details.
  • Technical data — server logs (IP address, timestamps, HTTP status codes) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

We do not run analytics trackers, third-party ad pixels, or behavioural profiling on our application pages.

How we use your data

  • To provision and operate your isolated workspace database.
  • To send transactional emails (account setup, trial reminders, invoices) via Resend.
  • To process subscription payments via Stripe.
  • To investigate security incidents and debug application errors.

We never sell your data. We never use your shop-floor data for training AI models or any purpose other than running your workspace.

Data isolation and storage

Each FloorManager workspace gets its own dedicated PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon in the EU (Frankfurt) region. Your records are never co-mingled with another customer's data.

Connection strings to tenant databases are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our central catalog. Backups are retained for 30 days.

Data retention

While your subscription is active, your data is retained indefinitely. After cancellation, your database is archived for up to 12 months — giving you time to export everything or resubscribe. After 12 months of inactivity, archived databases are permanently deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time by emailing us.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are based in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability — export your work orders, time logs, and materials as CSV from within the app at any time, including after cancellation.
  • Objection — object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests.
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@floormanager.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Sub-processors

We use a small number of trusted third-party processors:

  • Neon (neon.tech) — database hosting, EU region
  • Render (render.com) — application server hosting
  • Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — CDN and static site delivery
  • Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing
  • Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery

Each sub-processor is contractually bound to handle data in accordance with GDPR.

Cookies

The FloorManager application uses no third-party cookies. We store your session token in browser localStorage so you stay logged in between visits. The marketing site (floormanager.app) loads fonts from Google Fonts; no personal data is associated with these requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
